Nope, you can't do any of those things here anymore

Somewhere down in the basement (I honestly am not sure where -- the basement was already rather featureless when this store was open and is pretty much impossible to follow with the decor removed) was this abandoned checkout, with all of the registers and such completely gone already. For some reason, Macy's decommissioned almost all of the checkouts in the early days of the closing sale; seeing the crowds that were present around the customer service desk (which was one of the only places -- if not the only place -- left to check out) makes me think that was probably a bad idea!
