Stop and appreciate the architecture

Stop thinking about all the craziness that's going on right now, that is. I promised myself that I wasn't going to talk about politics on here and probably alienate most of you, and I won't. breathe

One of my favorite interior details of this store -- and probably about the only one that's going to stay as is when this store is converted into whatever it's going to be -- is the ceiling. Between the capitals on the columns and the intricate detailing on the coves, this is pure early-1900s design without being overly ornamented. I know this store doesn't really compare to some of the flagship department stores elsewhere in the country, but it's still pretty darn nice.
