Display windows

One interesting old remnant I didn't notice until this visit is the sets of small windows at the point where the street grade is just about to catch up to the second floor level. At first they look unremarkable, but the hinge and (especially) the lock look very much like what you'd expect to see in a display window, rather than a standard window. (And then there's also the fact that over half of the window is blocked by structural elements of the second floor!) Looking back in Street View, yep, these windows were formerly home to posters advertising the few businesses in the mall, all the way through 2008 at least! This is also quite close to the original exterior entrance for the theater, so there's a chance that they were intended for movie posters, though they seem rather low to the ground for that.
