Actionway(ish)

Here's a look down that wood-tiled sorta-actionway, with the cramped pharmacy counter visible in the background. You can also see the difference in style between the health and beauty half of the store to the left (low shelves with aisle marker Ts) and the food/general merchandise half to the right (normal-height shelves and hanging aisle markers). The actionway here is pretty small, which is normal of Rite Aids of this type -- the remodels did a nice job of making the stores feel open by using short shelving for a large portion of the store, but at the same time added more aisles to compensate for that, counterintuitively removing most of the actual open space. It's still a really nice overall design, though, even in a low-ceiling store like this.
