Concluding the loop around this store, here's a look at the Pine Street entrance from the weird little painted plaza space across the street. This is a little bit of space that the downtown business association has been trying to "activate", but since they're rather anti-homeless people, they keep taking away the furniture if they see homeless people using it, which hasn't helped its success. And I think they may have given up on it entirely when that shooting happened here -- if not then, they certainly have now, when the combination of COVID and riots led to many of the remaining businesses in this area closing down or at least boarding up their storefronts. (Not sure how businesses with long-term boarded-up storefronts get any customers, but that's a different issue...)
