And here's the jewelry counter itself, in the center portion of the north end of the salesfloor. I have to wonder how old these cases are -- while there's a prominent "R. H Macy" sign, they don't look modern at all, and I imagine they date back at least to the original Macy's takeover if not back to the Bon Marche days. I also have to wonder what the decorative things on top of the cases are supposed to be -- to be honest, they look like clothing racks, just colored gold.
