Escalator up

Here's a less-than-useful look up the escalator to the upper level. I suspect the escalators were modernized somewhat during the downsize-remodel in the mid-2010s -- it really looks like Macy's was intending to stay long-term at that point since they put quite a bit of work into the remodel, with the upper and lower floors pretty much completely updated.  Pre-remodel, there would have been a long series of escalators here; now, you can directly see the 2nd-floor ceiling as the upper escalators were completely removed.
