Never thought the Northgate store would outlast this one...

The sign in the entryway laid out the situation quite plainly: Yes, this store's closing, in a few hours, and here's the one last Barnes and Noble anywhere near here. For a long time, there were three Barnes & Nobles in Seattle: Northgate, this one, and West Seattle (so, basically, north, central, and south). The West Seattle store closed right about a year before this one (and I have some pictures from its closing that I'll post one of these years), meaning that now the Northgate store is the last one standing -- and with the big redevelopment ongoing at Northgate, its standing is surely a bit precarious at this point too (the redevelopment plans don't include its part of the building yet, but who knows how long that will last). Honestly, if you had asked me a few years ago, I would have imagined this happening the exact opposite way, with Northgate being the first to go and West Seattle being the lone survivor.
