Ugly floors

Here's yet another example of why exposed concrete floors aren't a great idea in decades-old stores, at least with the level of effort that grocery stores are willing to put into it! I know of a building (office, not retail) that used to have brick flooring that they overlaid with concrete to make it look like a bare concrete floor -- that would probably be a partial solution to issues like this, but in that case, even with all the effort they put into it, it never looked all that great, and now is full of cracks and looks pretty bad. (It's still better than this disaster though!)
