Grand aisle

The semi-grand aisle in this store (is it a real grand aisle if produce and meat are both elsewhere?) is where things kind of return to normal layout-wise. However, there's still one big oddity -- the Murray's counter is built into the deli, rather than being a free-standing kiosk. I've only seen this design in a handful of brand-new stores, which this certainly isn't. It looks like Murray's was retrofitted into part of the deli relatively recently, since the decor looks rather tacked on and covers part of the 2012 deli decals, so I'm guessing they decided to add this in as cheaply as possible. Meanwhile, the "raise a glass" space around the corner is some sort of bar/wine tasting thing, one of the only extra fancy features this store has.

  1. Ha, I've just taken to calling them both grand aisles if produce is on one side of the store and the deli and bakery are on the other :P
