By the time of my second visit, the liquor shelving had been completely rearranged to create a closed-off department with its own register. At the time, I figured that the change was because this isn't in the nicest neighborhood, but later remodels have almost universally included this feature so it must be the standard now. And I guess the standard must have changed right in the middle of this store's remodel!
