Despite all the pictures I took of the front end when I visited, I didn't get any that directly captured the checkouts.. This store had huge (and relatively modern) double checkouts, a design that seems to be popular with local grocery stores around here (though the only chain store I can think of with something vaguely like this is Costco). The old Saar's Marketplace in Port Angeles had a particularly weird implementation of this, where one employee would run both sides of the counter, alternating between customers!
