The (surprisingly small) meat department at this store takes up the middle portion of the back wall, and has the new Black Decor 2.whatever (seriously, what number are we up to now?) signage that almost all Walmarts got (and which doesn't translate so well to this store, with the giant window wall behind it). Behind that is perhaps the weirdest feature of this generally weird store -- as you can kind of see through the window, Wickes Furniture built a second entryway facade element on the back of the store, facing the US 26 freeway. No clue why they did that -- obviously, the freeway is way older than this store -- but it's just another of the many curiosities about this building, and it proved to be very helpful as Street View drove by this side of the store not long before it closed, making this the only way I was able to figure out the history of this odd building!
2.2, to answer your question :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was about to say 2.3, so good thing I didn't commit to that 🙂
