With the drum lamps gone, and no major decor elements along the front wall, the front end of this store feels really big and empty following the remodel. For some reason, Safeway put their "thank you for shopping" sign all the way over to this side, too, way away from the entrance or checkouts (especially weird seeing as they closed off the left-side entrance that it would have been vaguely close to). And unlike a normal Safeway, there's actually plenty of room in the front actionway, which isn't even overly cluttered with random displays!
