This store's garden center access was still present along the right wall, but it looked like the garden center had been out of use for quite some time, with the glass all fogged over and nothing but random junk in either the inside or outside parts of the garden center. Looking in Street View, it looks like this space has been disused going back all the way to 2011, and quite likely earlier. I'm not sure what's up with that, since most Kmarts seem to keep their garden centers in at least partial operation all the way to the end, and most chain stores around here seem to have do pretty good business selling plants in the spring and summer -- even stores like Rite Aid or Walgreens that you wouldn't really think of as plant stores -- so I would've thought that Kmart would have no trouble selling plants here. And I'm not sure what's up with the upside-down 13 (or 31?) on the window above the door either!
