They really want you to know that the store's closing...

Turning towards those entrance doors, we get hit with a multitude of store closing signs (and the obligatory "we're hiring even though we're closing" sign). As you can see here, this store's entrance had a very odd setup -- the doors open right on to a small set of stairs, with accessible access via a long ramp to an unmarked door off to the right (bizarrely, the street slopes down that way; why they didn't just use the doors that they already had off to the left where the ground level matches the store's floor level is something I can't wrap my head around). Beyond that is a fairly standard vestibule space with the doors to the main store ahead and a exit doorway from the checkouts off to the left... except the entry door was closed off some time long before the closure, so everyone had to enter through the awkward side door and walk behind the checkouts... after getting a cart from the corral that was still all the way over by the entrance doors. So many levels of bizarre design here!
