Folding tables galore

I'm not sure what (if anything) this weird corner of the lower level was originally used for, but for the closing sale it became a dumping ground of random merchandise on folding tables. (I always have to wonder where closing stores pull all these folding tables from...) Just like the 3rd Ave facade, this area was clearly home to tons of exterior store closing signs, which in this case also provide perhaps the largest interior signal of the closing sale. I suppose I do have to take back some of what I said yesterday about the obviousness of the escalator since it does point awkwardly into the corner, though I still maintain that you shouldn't need a sign to tell you what an escalator is for!
