Wine on the floor

Looking the other way, here's a rather interesting sight -- one of the old pylon signs sitting on the ground! Clearly, these signs are a good bit larger than they look (just like road signs), with this one towering over the frozen case behind it (and, well, towering over me as well 😉). It had to be at least 7 feet tall, and seemed to be made of some type of plywood or particle board (not foam, in other words) -- certainly wouldn't want to be around one of these in an earthquake!

As a side note, regarding the road sign comment above, one of the larger local sign manufacturing companies posts the sign size on the back of their signs. This one, to pick a large-but-not-insane example, is 27x13½ (feet), making it 365 square feet, or over 100 square feet larger than my apartment!
