Despite how low on merchandise this place was getting, it was still clearly fairly busy, with the long checkout lines you'd see at pretty much any Safeway. (The lack of self checkout, combined with long lines at the regular checkouts, are the main reason I shopped at Ballard instead of here even though this one was probably the most convenient to where I live.) Off in the background, the ex-Starbucks can be seen -- I was kind of surprised it closed before the store as a whole since Starbucks of any type are almost always popular around here.
