At this point in the closing, the pharmacy was still running more or less as normal, just with bunches of signs saying that, obviously, you don't get closing-sale discounts on prescriptions. Seems to go without saying, but I guess there's always that one guy who would think they're entitled to a discount! Meanwhile, the over-the-counter stuff was on sale, and at 20% off, was even one of the more highly discounted things at this early date.
