In a clear sign of this store's maintenance slipping, half of the backlight behind the bakery sign was dead at the time of my visit, something that's surprisingly unusual at Safeways. (Safeway may not be a particularly fancy brand, but at least they tend to keep their stores in reasonably good shape, unlike some chains out there...) Other than that, the bakery was clearly still running normally at this point, making me wonder why it was even running its slight store closing sales.
