And the other way

Coincidentally, Wikipedia has a fairly similar view to this one, from back in 2007 when this mall was clearly a much different place. Sure, there were already some empty slots, but they look to have been the minority of the mall rather than the majority, and more importantly, there were plenty of people present!

As I mentioned previously, this space has been empty for a while now, with the last food court tenant (an ice cream shop called Cool Scoops) closing circa 2017 (crazy how much this place changed in just a decade...). What happened before that was a bit more interesting -- in 2014, this mall was part of a Food Network show called "Food Court Wars", a show featuring chefs competing to win a year of free rent at a food court in a (generally dead) mall. Sadly, the winners, a waffle shop, ended up losing money even with free rent (a serious indictment of how bad this mall was even then!) and closed in mid-2014. I haven't watched the whole thing, but the episode is still available online, and includes some minor background shots of the mall.
