You may (but most likely don't 🙂) remember the story I posted a bit over a year back about QFC's supposed rebrand to "the Q" or something along those lines. While they haven't done anything too crazy as of yet -- even this new store still says QFC on the outside -- it does appear that some smaller branding changes are taking place, with more and more emphasis on just the Q-crown portion of the logo and a general de-emphasis of the other components (FC, the full Quality Food Center text, and the holding shape). Additionally, there seems to be much less mustard yellow and navy blue in their current branding, other than on the store signage. All in all, not a bad turn of events, even with the silly "Love Delivery" text.
As I said in my comment back then, going with just the Q-crown emblem is totally fine, just never verbally call it "The Q"! (I'll also add to AFB's examples at that photo with "The Hut"...)
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be happening yet, though I have seen some news articles where corporate people refer to it that way...
