Looping back around to where we started, here's a more direct view of the customer service counter, with its couple random "regular" checkouts. The customer service sign itself is a bit plain, but I still quite like it, with the letters just "floating" without a real backdrop. In the background, along the front wall, the store's "QFC Pickup" lockers are visible -- they're something I haven't seen before, and appear to take the place of the traditional backroom Clicklist staging area. (I know Kroger has dropped the Clicklist name, but I like it enough that I'm going to keep using it!) At first I thought they were a self-service concept, like the ubiquitous Amazon Lockers, but it appears that they are still employee serviced. I'm not sure if this place has the standard in-car service too, or just in-store pickup...
"I know Kroger has dropped the Clicklist name, but I like it enough that I'm going to keep using it" - same! It was super original, I hate that they ditched it...
