The new aisle markers have made it all the way to the original grocery department, showing just how much of a gap there is in the numbering. While they're doubling the aisle count by numbering the front and back halves of the aisles separately, that still leaves a gap of 6 aisles -- plus however many aisles they eliminate by widening them, something Fred Meyer has been doing a lot lately to hide how much merchandise they're eliminating in their remodels. I also hope they're going to do something to hide that ugly electrical work on top of the fancy case in the foreground...
