In such an eccentric decor package, it's hard to pick out what the weirdest part is... but the aisle markers are certainly in contention! With the fan-shaped (that's the best analogy I could come up with, at least...) mesh background, triplicated numbers, and peach category plaques over a pepto-bismol pink background, I'd really like to know what the designers were thinking when they drew these up. Plus, I'm not sure why they decided to put 8 spots for plaques in a store with such short aisles -- most full grocery stores go with no more than 6!
Giving them a run for their money are the promotional signs on each endcap, featuring the same mesh material in corrugated form, with mint green sign backgrounds and weird angled "The Rite Value" sign pieces. They may be a little bit less weird, but certainly no more modern. There's a reason I've nicknamed this the "Extremely 90s" decor!
