This January, just over a year after it closed, I made it back out to check out what happened to this place. (To be honest, this was a spur-of-the-moment detour on my
Gig Harbor Albertsons trip.) As expected, nothing much has come of this place -- Kroger clearly felt no need to vacate quickly and I didn't see any signs of it being on the market, so I have to wonder if they're stuck with a long-term lease. Plus, there's already a lot of competition in the grocery market around here, so I'm not sure who would want the space anyways. It does look like the shopping center is keeping the space up pretty nicely, however...
