Fresh & Ready

Unsurprisingly, the first department on the left is the prepared foods section, with a very large grab and go section immediately inside the doors, with both cold and hot foods ready to go.

The decor here was also clearly very much custom, and I suspect somewhat experimental as well. As such, it certainly had some spots that fell short, such as that "Fresh & Ready" sign on the front wall, which is far too low contrast for my liking. I'm also not sure where they were going with the lights here, which look rather old fashioned in contrast to the very modern decor. Regardless, as we'll soon see, this is still a very successful decor package -- and clearly Kroger agreed, as we'll see a bit later on!
