The Butcher Block is back

The butcher block here, located in the middle of the left wall, certainly isn't the fanciest I've seen. Still, many stores, including Safeway, typically wouldn't even have a service meat department in a smaller store like this, so it's still nice to see. Less nice to see is the floor -- maybe going with a bare concrete floor in a nearly 50 year old store where it wasn't ever intended to be seen isn't a great idea?

  1. Totally agree on the concrete floor point, but it seems to be something many grocery stores do not consider...

    1. Yes, very much so! I don't mind the polished concrete look, but making it look nice might be more trouble than it's worth in a store like this...
