The butcher block here, located in the middle of the left wall, certainly isn't the fanciest I've seen. Still, many stores, including Safeway, typically wouldn't even have a service meat department in a smaller store like this, so it's still nice to see. Less nice to see is the floor -- maybe going with a bare concrete floor in a nearly 50 year old store where it wasn't ever intended to be seen isn't a great idea?
Totally agree on the concrete floor point, but it seems to be something many grocery stores do not consider...
ReplyDeleteYes, very much so! I don't mind the polished concrete look, but making it look nice might be more trouble than it's worth in a store like this...
